National Kebab, a very British mockery and cynicism

The Windows on Westminster cracked open again in Rudaw, Kurdish media on 20/3/2015 and Gary Kent delivered his conveyance to the Kurdish reader. (http://rudaw.net/english/opinion/20032015)
Gary’s words are plain and implicit enough to reflect what he has in mind which causes concerns about his approach as the self-proclaimed and unnamed representative of British policy. He ends his writing with an advisory statement to Kurds and writes: “The Kurds face historic challenges and need all the support they can muster.” The Centre for Kurdish Progress, is Gary’s much admired Kurdish organisation in UK, London, with which he tries to circumvent the well-established Kurdish officials and authorities. The centre for Kurdish progress’ activities are, among others, the annual National Kebab awards that gains Gary Kent’s attention and appreciation where he asserts that “Such events are vital in invigorating the Kurdish community and building living links with British friends.” One might wonder as what sort of historical challenges Gary has in his mind that facing Kurds and ushered him to such a suggestive recipe for the Kurds. Likewise, one wonders as how and why those MPs (Member of Parliament) could be perceived as the best British friends for Kurds. Those, whose past and reputation marred by in tandem scandals, Expensive Scandal in UK just one of them, might be lured into National Kebab festival in Westminster terrace but it is far-fetching to assume that they might be able or capable to do any perceivable effects on the current crisis in the Middle East including ISIS one.
It appears that Brits make every conceivable efforts to circumvent the Kurds and Kurdish authorities in order to appease their doomed regional allies. No doubt that the Kurds facing an historical and major challenge of their history caused by a crisis not of their making. Current crisis of Iraq has its root in British active involvement in making and shaping of a highly religious and ethnically contentious mess they named Iraq. Kurds were the very first victim of the British political game and suffered heavily for decades. Now that the Kurds gained some footing to improve their way of life as an archaic and independent nation in the region, they face the old malice.
Gary Kent should have been aware of the fact that the historical challenge Kurds are facing, is recognised as global challenge facing humanity as a whole. Therefore, speaking of the Kurds alone in this regard is red herring. Following the chain of events since the public beheading of Lee Rigby in London, up to the present time, demonstrate that Brits, in particular, facing the same challenge as the Kurds. Equally, other people and nations worldwide are facing the peril of the resurgence of barbaric Islamist terrorists in an unprecedented level. The reality of the matter is that the Kurds are in the very forefront of the war against terror. As such Kurds have been well integrating with the global alliance against ISIS terror. Therefore, it would be in the realm of rationality to assume that Brits, shoulder to shoulder, at least to Americans that make them proud since the onset of Blairite policy in the UK, should have felt obliged to safeguard as much friends and support as possible, regionally and globally, in their war against terror and Islamist extremism. Assuming that Gary Kent take this simple and undeniable fact, the advice he is giving to the Kurds is, with the same token, applicable to the British people and their policy makers as much as it is to the Kurds.
Against all odds, the current British policy makers strive hard to push the Kurdish issue aside as much as they can master and manage. Despite their political rhetoric, it seems that the Kurds are not in the same footing and position as their equal partner in the war against terror. It is the kind of policy that has no regard for any human values that Kurds offering to the world in term of sheltering around 2 million refugees escaping for their life into the Kurdistan, despite heavy economic pressure inflected upon them by Iraqi regime. Furthermore the war against ISIS and the casualties and sacrifices the Kurds are suffering, is not enough for the Brits to give them a proper place in anti-ISIS meeting in London on 22 Jan 2015. The national kebab festive seems begotten nothing for the Kurds and sound like an awful waste of time, money and other resources.
It is an appalling and a grim petty political affair that British policy towards Kurds degrade to the level of National Kebab and Nowroz festive in their chatter house which no sane and sound, knowledgeable and informed serious politician can grasp it as a well-intended political approaches towards active current affairs afoot in the Middle East. In contrast to the current British policy, the Kurds had experienced much more constructive real policy at the time of first golf war against the Saddam’s tyranny where the British political figures like Douglas Hurd then Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs under John Major’s premiership, initiated the no-fly zone over part of the Kurdistan and obliged others to follow. Brits then, proved that they are of some politicians with a strong backbone and stand in relation with their allies in war against the tyranny. That sort of British policy lost thank to Blairite school boy policy type and style. Back to those days then, there was not any necessity for national kebab and the Kurds had lord Jeffery Archer and Tony Ben as their friends without offering their master Pirot’s national kebab.
To further illustrate the futility and mockery of national kebab lets remind Gary Kent that hiring the very prominent and high ranking British politicians like Jack Straw and Malcolm Rifkind, both former Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, would have been of more consequence in case the Kurds would have been able to afford £6000.00 a day to them as their greedy financial requests.
The irony of the matter is, on one hand we have active and effective relationship between Brits, including royal family, with the Wahhabis at the highest level which pave the way for increasing activities of Islamist both in Britain and abroad, particularly in Middle East. On the other hand Garry Kent tries to convey the points of charming political game of deliberately selected, limited, non-official and non–effective solidarity with the Kurds as an active force fighting a multi-front war, both geographically and politically, against the wild and barbaric forces of ISIS. Consequently, Britain become the breeding ground for the ISIS and as the recent event of three teenage girls joining ISIS and the rumour of medical personal from UK establishing the foundation of ISIS alongside the rightly most hated John the ISIS butcher, demonstrate that that kind of policy and approach is counter-productive both domestically and globally. It is precisely this policy that paved the way for Wahhabis and their offspring ISIS to become a visible and integrated part of everyday life of British society. Wahhabis feeding ISIS with high quality printed Quran to be handover freely to their subjects all over the world including Iraq, Syria, Somalia and Nigeria, which might be produced by British technology inside or outside UK. Islamist are free to abuse every legal loophole in order to provide their terror campaign against humanity with economic, ideological and human resources. Recently, they brazenly try to shift the three teenage girl’s affairs to their favour by accusing the Britain of discriminatory behaviour and endeavour against Moslem community as if life under ISIS is much in favour of young women in caparison with Britain. In this way and well known manner Wahhabis try to gain more and more footing mainly in UK and western society in general. Wahhabis and their ISIS is alarmingly a growing factor in western society aiming to uproot and destroy the very democratic nature on which they are living. The fact that young women born and grown up in UK and enjoyed the privileges of modern democratic life at the equal level with British Citizens if not better than them, fall victim to Wahhabis and ISIS and to prefer ISIS to Britain, is indeed pretty disquieting. That worrying phenomenon is demonstrating the Wahhabis in action in long run.
The western’s, in particular USA and British, nonchalant policy and approach towards the plague of Wahhabis Islamists doomed to further deepening and escalation of the current crisis in the region and even worldwide. Iranian safavid Shiite regime as the counterpart of Wahhabis ISIS is developing and expanding fast. As the military expertise have repeatedly pointed out, Iranian Mullahs are the only winner of war and crisis since the first golf war. Iran’s nuclear program heading ahead in the melee of current crisis and even Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s premier, warning in this regard get no serious heeding. Iran is in the way to accomplish its proclaimed goal of capturing Jerusalem and destruction of Jewish state. The misguided western power policy is indeed in their deeds providing the opportunities for Iranian to cunningly move toward their safavid expansion objectives in the whole region and inching toward Israel’s borders. Notwithstanding the western strategy and their phoney diplomatic war, the Iranian safavid strategy has already gained strong footholds in Iraq, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Yamen upon which they are openly celebrating their achievements and announcing their type of Safavid Empire across the region. The Iranian expansion and safavid’s political, ideological and religious ambitions have already ushered to the escalation of regional crisis and deepening of chasm between Shiite and Sunni which is the breading factor for Wahhabis and ISIS. The Iranian Mullahs reached apex of their aggressive expansion where they are directly commanding the war for recapturing Tikrit under the auspices of nonchalant attitude of western powers. The reality of present time shows that Iranian safavid progress aggressively wherever west failed particularly in Iraq, not to mention Afghanistan. As the Britain is concerned, the Blairite ethical foreign policy functioned in the favour of Iranian Mullahs and as to Tony Blair himself, he ended up as the refugee if not fugitive in Jerusalem.
Brits ludicrous and preposterous National Kebab festive alongside exempting Kurd from London meeting is not the proper and acceptable response to such a menace and peril of Islamist terror as the profound and grave challenge facing the whole humanity. It seems that western policy is paving the way and preparing for the war of the century and rekindling the Millennia old antagonism between Shiite and Sunni in its new forms of Wahhabis and Safavid, awaiting for Turkish Othman involvement.
Finally, Gary Kent appears to be keen for obvious reason to mention the unfounded notion according to which many Kurdish babies have been named Millan following the use of German weapon by Kurdish fighter, Peshmerge. I can assure Mr Kent that Kurdish culture and consciousness is higher than what he tries in vain to convey. Kurdish reaction to German approach and helping hand toward them illustrates in Millan Rocket and invitation of Kurdish authorities to Munich meeting, at the time of crisis in this manner, would have appreciated Angela Merkel, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and particularly Ursula von der Leyen more than Millan Rocket to be taken as their babies’ namesake. In case that the Kurds follow the pattern for namesake Gary Kent is highlighting, they might run out of baby resources for all those modern weaponries and personalities from USA, France, Canada, Australia, Italy, Sweden, etc. etc. that are actively involved in the war against ISIS shoulder to shoulder to Kurds and their Peshmerge fighters. May God the Almighty, bless pure Kurdish souls. Amen.
